Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could open the Bible and find out exactly what God wants us to do – practically – in whatever predicament we currently face?
Well, my friends, I think we can. The answer to all of our questions can be found in the center of the Bible – which holds the key to staying in the center of God’s will…
A: Psalms 117
Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 119
Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
A: Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.
Q:What is the center verse in the Bible?
A: Psalms 118:8
Q:Does this verse say something significant about God’s perfect will for our lives?
Psalms 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

Exactly what does the Lord wants us to do in whatever we are facing? He wants us to TRUST HIM! To put our confidence in Him – and not in anyone else, not in ourselves, not in what we own, what we can do, the connections we have, the positions we hold… He wants us to trust God, and only God.
Sometimes that’s the hardest thing to do, isn’t it? Especially when we feel like we need to control things on our own timetable.
God is faithful. He will NOT leave us, nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). He is not like man. “For I am God and not man, the Holy One in the midst of you” Hos. 11:9. God’s timetable is not ours (Isa. 55:8-9)
When we let go and decide to completely trust God, we are doing just what Psalm 46:10 says:
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored…” Psalm 46:10
We can be assured that in EVERY way, God is working for our good and His glory (Rom. 8:28).
The center of God’s Word tells us how to stay in the center of God’s will… Trust Him, and not man. God will move, lead, speak, direct, guide, and walk with you every step IF you will be still and trust Him.
I’m praying for many of you dear readers who are in the battle between faith and sight. (If you need a little more encouragement in winning the battle between faith and sight, read this post.)
Friends, hang on to the Lord… He will be victorious in and through your circumstances!
With much love to each of you~

I know that you have learned this lesson personally as you've had to trust Him. As you know, there has continued to be so much uncertainty in my life these past few years. And yet I know that God is trustworthy and He does have a plan for my life. As I rest in Him, He provides me with His peace even when I can't see exactly where I'm going. He is with me on this journey of life and that is sufficient for me.
I love the changes you've made to your blog Jennifer. Keep on sharing His love with others.
Love you,
Debbie
