Sweet Sunday Scripture: One to put into practice

“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult,
but with blessing,
because to this you were called
so that you may inherit a blessing.”
1 Peter 3:9 (NIV)
This was my LPM Scripture Memory verse for these two weeks. I borrowed it from Beth – whose devotion on this verse was a true blessing from the Lord. He’s giving me some present opportunities to put this Scripture into practice, and I’m so thankful for His strength that comes when we draw the Sword in a battle.

Sweet Sunday Scripture: What God will do for each of us!

Be merciful and gracious to me, O God,
be merciful and gracious to me,
for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in You;

yes, in the shadow of Your wings
will I take refuge and be confident
until calamities and destructive storms are passed.

I will cry to God Most High,
Who performs on my behalf
and rewards me
[Who brings to pass His purposes for me
and surely completes them]!

He will send from heaven and save me
from the slanders and reproaches
of him who would trample me down or swallow me up,
and He will put him to shame.

God will send forth His mercy and loving-kindness

A beautiful message from "The Message"

If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers— most of which are never even seen—
don’t you think he’ll attend to you,
take pride in you, do his best for you?

What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax,

to not be so preoccupied with getting,
so you can respond to God’s giving.

People who don’t know God and the way he works
fuss over these things,
but you know both God and how he works.

Steep your life in God-reality,

God-initiative,
God-provisions.

Don’t worry about missing out.

You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Matthew 6:30-33 (The Message)

And here is verse 33 from the CEV:

“But more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well. “

Sweet Sunday Scripture: Anyone battling "FEAR" these days?

Isaiah 41:10

Don’t be afraid. I am with you.

as I protect you with my arm
