National Day of Prayer

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.” 2 Chron. 7:14-15

This year’s theme is Prayer…America’s Hope.

Theme verse: Psalm 33:22. “We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His Holy name. May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” (Verses 20-22)

O Lord, please have mercy on our country, and help your people to turn back to you. For you, only, are our Hope and our Salvation, and we need you desperately!



A few pictures from our school’s NDP event! We’re praising the Lord for the freedom to advertise and gather around the flag pole to pray! It was a beautiful morning… the only day this week that the sun was shining! Thank you, Lord!

Crazy Ladies Late Nite Snackin’

Oh how I wish I could find the video to this! It’s not on YouTube yet. But this has got to be the funniest Sonic commercial ever! Especially if you’re a “crazy lady” like me, who actually goes out with her friends on a “GNO” that includes shopping at Target or Kroger after dinner!

Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.

Q:What is the center verse in the Bible?
A: Psalms 118:8

Q:Does this verse say something significant about God’s perfect will for our lives?

Psalms 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

The next time someone says they would like to find God’s perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word!

Now, we have news!!!

Hi Friends~ We have some great news to share: The judge has just issued his opinion in the case and ruled in our favor!!! The ruling means that we have won the right to have a preliminary injunction. We have not won the case as a whole. A preliminary injunction is just that: a temporary order saying that, while the case continues, we can put up the posters to advertise National Day of Prayer, and we can use the words “God”, “Pray” and theme Bible verses!!!

Although the case is not over, this is a significant victory because, in order to grant a preliminary injunction, the judge must believe that we will likely (not certainly, but likely) win the whole case. The judge is basically offering a prediction on whether he thinks we will win, and he has said yes.

How in the world can I thank you for praying with us and standing with us? When I heard this news, I was shopping at Hobby Lobby, and could hardly wait to get home and fall on my face in grateful thanksgiving to the Lord!

A few weeks ago, I memorized and claimed ahead in faith the truth in Psalm 59:9. But tonight, I saw this truth “fleshed out”. “Oh my Strength, I will watch and give heed to you and sing praises; for God is my Defense (my Protector and High Tower).”

Thanks for being our friends and for walking beside us in this battle. It’s not over, so please don’t stop praying! But, a little victory was won, and I wanted you to know about it and to glorify the Lord with us!

We’re still waiting on the outcome of this hearing.

“My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.” (Psalm 62:5)

If our hope and expectations are in God, He will not disappoint us. Man might, but God never will, because He is working all things together for our good and His glory. Sometimes it’s easier than other times to really flesh out this truth. But it’s the truth, nonetheless.

So, as we wait, we keep praying. Would you please keep praying with us for the Judge and for the outcome of his decision to display God’s glory and love, no matter how he rules?

How about you? Where is your hope and expectation? Let’s ask the Lord to show us where we’ve put our hope and trust in man instead of in Him. He only is Trust Worthy!

May the Lord bless and keep you as you hope and expect in Him…
