Happy Tuesday or Wednesday, my friends~
Can you believe how quickly April is moving? This week is moving??? We have had beautiful spring weather, and our azaleas are just bursting open! It’s my favorite time of year here in the Delta. Huge azalea bushes line the front or sides of most of the older homes here and the view while driving from our house to anywhere resembles the backdrop of photos from Southern Living magazines. This is a view of my favorite part of our yard & my fav bush – I took tons of pictures as the azaleas burst open – but I didn’t figure you’d want to see all of them. You’re welcome. 😉
(Isn’t this just beautiful? I took it with my phone!)
And a few of my favorite people. 🙂
(Our son is always thrilled to have his picture made. Thrilled, I tell you!)
(I sure do love this man!)
(This is my little friend, Samantha. I love her like she’s my own. She calls me “Coco” and James “Poppy.”
It’s fun playing part-time parents/grandparents to her. A sure balm for my upcoming empty nest…)
Well…Sunday, the first episode of our new local Christian talk show, Smelling Coffee Today, aired. We taped it last Tuesday evening, and are learning as we go. 🙂 You should have seen the outtakes! I would be talking and then my mind would just for a second think of the craziness of this dream becoming a reality and burst out laughing – then we would have to start all over!
Before the taping, the Lord gave me this verse:
Do not despise these small beginnings, for theLord rejoices to see the work begin. Zech. 4:10, NLT
I just love that! So, as I look back on this first episode, I will not despise the beginning of this new thing – though one day (I pray) we {as in me} will get much better at it all and will look back and have a good chuckle at how far we’ve come. There is not a live link to this first show, but from now on, there will be, and I’ll share it here and in the menu across the bottom of this blog header. Yep. That whole thing makes me smile! That, and the fact that my hair against the green screen made the first half of the show look like I was wearing a beanie cap. hahaha.
I found a few other things that make me smile this day. Hope they bring a smile to your face, too.
So true!
And I said… “Alrighty, then!” 😉
Absolutely. He knew it way back then. 😉
Happy new week to you all~ Oh, may this week not see the devastation and despair brought by last week’s events. May the Lord already be healing and make His Name and His Strength glorious over hearts, minds, emotions, and bodies across this world~
