Happy Saturday, friends! Who can believe that it’s already the 15th of June??? VBS & a family reunion have been my focus this week & I can’t wait to share with you some fun & easy Pinterest-inspired ideas that worked. 🙂
As I was getting ready this morning, I was listening to Nancy Leigh DeMoss’s radio program & was so blessed by this particular series, I just had to hop on here to pass it along. It’s the story of the daughter of Pastor Jim Cymbala (of the Brooklyn Tabernacle) and Carol Cymbala (choir director of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir).
As we finish the child-rearing stage with our children, and as they have grown up with their parents being in “ministry,” this was an eye opening message, full of wisdom and hope. If you have a Prodigal though you raised him/her in the Lord, or if you don’t have a prodigal but worry if you might, Chrissy’s story will be blessing of great encouragement. To God be the glory…
(This is what the revive Our Hearts web page for this series looks like. The link is below the pic.)
A Prodigal Heart Returns Home, with Chrissy Toledo
As a pastor’s daughter, Chrissy Toledo felt pressure to be perfect. The desire to impress others became stronger than her love for the Lord. This began a dangerous spiral of manipulation and lies. Hear the story of a heart drifting and the power of a praying church community.
You can listen to the 3 part series here.
