Have you ever been to an event and wished for more “visiting around the table time”? Or even been in a Bible study where there is discussion time, but never enough of it?
Well, my friends, that’s exactly what you’ll get plenty of on our first Praise and Coffee Night!
Praise and Coffee Night = A gathering of new and old friends sharing life, laughter, {maybe even a few tears} and the desire to connect, encourage, and inspire one another.
Sound fun? We think it will be!
Actually, Praise and Coffee Gatherings is a movement started by a blogger I knew early in my blogging days, Sue Cramer. She had a blog named Praise and Coffee… and back then, when anyone had similar blog names, you felt a certain connection with them, and quickly got to know one another. It was especially true for those few of us Christian bloggers with “coffee” in our blog names… we felt an immediate sisterhood based on our mutual love for both Jesus and coffee. Sue wrote a great blog, and eventually produced a wonderful online magazine with the same name. Now she owns her OWN coffee house {Yay and Wow!} – and her website PraiseandCoffee.com is full of faith info and encouragement.
God led Sue to create these fellowship nights and to encourage others around the country to host them, and eventually produced a resource to make it easy to connect, encourage, and inspire one another. These gatherings can take place in homes, coffee shops, or any place. Ours will be in the FBC Student center, which we will make it “feel” like a coffee shop. 😉 PS: and you don’t have to drink coffee!
