This was yesterday morning’s reading from the Daily Light devotional. {BTW, Daily Light is one of my all-time favorite devo books. EVERY word is straight Scripture; the verses are arranged topically & pieced together to relay one particular Word from The Lord for each morning & each evening. I love it so much. Not long ago, I found a Daily Light app & it even reminds me to read the day’s devotion. I have the free version, but for $2.99, you can get the book without adds. The book is in print, as well…just in case anyone is looking for a new QT resource.}
Anyway, this was Saturday morning’s reading, and I felt led to pass it along. It’s always a good thing to be reminded to set our hope on the Lord… Just as we KNOW that the sun will arise in the morning & can watch for it with firm assurance, we can also KNOW that God will arise & show Himself faithful in ALL circumstances.
The Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. – Prov 3:26
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.—The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.—When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that wait for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.—I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.—Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Ps 76:10, Prov 21:1, Prov 16:7, Ps 130:5-6, Ps 34:4, Deut 33:27, Jer 17:7, Rom 8:31
A blessed Lord’s Day to you today~
