Does it ever seem to you like everything you read, study, or hear goes back to the same theme? As if God is trying to get a message to you? I notice that a lot in my life. The scriptures below are the ones I’ve written in my notes from different Bible studies and Quiet Times in 2013, and when I put them together the other day, I saw one underlying theme (at least for my life at the present): Obedience. I think I know that God is trying to teach me something about obedience. Oh how I pray to learn it this time around! His Word never returns void, so I trust that He will use this simple list of Scripture to speak into your life too, according to the “theme” He is working in and around you. All for His glory and for the sake of His Kingdom ~
“Honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.” 1 Cor. 6:20
“Sin is crouching at your door. It’s desire is for you; but you must master it.” Gen. 4:7
“Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.” 1 Cor. 6:12
“With man, it is impossible. But not with God.
With God, all things are possible.” Mark 10:27
“Choose this day whom you will serve.” Joshua 24:15
“Seek Me, and live.” Amos 5:4
“The eyes of all wait for You (looking, watching, and expecting)
and You give them their food in due season.” Psalm 145:15
With a grateful heart for God’s Sharp Sword and a prayer for a blessed Lord’s Day to you all~
