Hello sweet friends! Would you believe that we had internet for only one day? Crazy! I had such blogging plans! There is something up with our phone lines in our older home, and we are still depending on the Blackberrys to stay connected. This is my first time to be in a house with internet, and I couldn’t wait to hop on and say hello. So… Hello. 🙂
I put together pictures to share with you as soon as I can load them in. We still have details to tweak, but every box is now unpacked, and we feel like we can live and operate in our home. It is so wonderful! We even had our first “company” over for Taco Soup the other night. Just the ability to get ready out of drawers and cabinets instead of travel bags and rubbermaid totes is a blessing! (grin) Our children are loving having their rooms… we are all loving the privacy! Our Nashville home still hasn’t sold, and The Lord still has us in a place of blind trust in several areas, but we are focusing on obeying Him for today and trusting Him for tomorrow… and we KNOW He will work it all out for His glory!
A friend e-mailed this prayer quote, and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I thought it was so appropriate as we focus on giving Thanks this week. As we finish cooking and getting our homes ready for Thanksgiving, lets make sure our hearts are ready too. This prayer is a beautiful expression of what should be the freedom cry of each of our hearts. As we focus on giving thanks for what we do have, may God help us lose the “nots” in our lives. Much love to you all and Happy, Happy Thanksgiving~
Dear God:
Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life.
Remove the have nots,
The Can Nots,
And The Do Nots
That I have in my mind.
Erase the Will Nots,
May Nots,
Might Nots
that may find a home in my heart.
Release me from the Could Nots,
Would Nots and
Should Nots
that obstruct my life.
And most of all, Dear God,
I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart, and my life all of the
‘Am Nots’
that I have allowed to hold me back, especially the thought that I am not good enough.

Psalm 100
A Thanksgiving Psalm1-2 On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.
3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.
4 Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.
5 For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
