Over at Balancing Beauty and Bedlam, Jennifer posted a new idea for enjoying water~ in making your own fruit water. It looked so refreshing that I’m definitely going to try it. As I was looking at her decorative water, it made me remember a delicious iced tea recipe that I used to make – House of Grace Tea. It was my “signature tea” before I fell in love with Lemonade Almond Tea.
I forget where the name came from, but as I was growing up, this tea was a part of many special gatherings. It was served at my bride’s maid luncheon, and reminds me of my mom and her friends.
House of Grace Tea is southern sweet, and compliments anything, but especially salads and brunch foods. It’s also one of those refreshing “sip on the front porch swing” kind of drinks.
So the next time you host a luncheon, or when you want to treat your family or friends to something special and sweet, give this tea a try. Hope you enjoy…
House of Grace Tea
6 Tbs. instant Tea
2 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup white grape juice
1/2 cup “Real Lemon”
In a gallon jug, mix tea & sugar. Add enough hot water to dissolve. Add grape juice and lemon. Add enough water to make one gallon.
This is best if made ahead of time and chilled in refrigerator.
PS: Just found another wonderful site with lots of Tuesday recipes~ Blessed with Grace (Tempt My Tummy Tuesday). Have a great day, friends…

Oh..thanks so much for sharing these yummy tea recipes!!
You and your family are continually in my thoughts and prayers my friend! 🙂
Lemonade Almond tea is my favorite. I made it last night for a party I gave for my sunday school class, some of them are hooked on it now! My recipe came from 2 of my sisters that visited a Tea Room in TN. They were given the recipe. I am not crazy about alot of the flavored teas but this is a keeper! I enjoy your blog!
That tea looks so refreshing! I will definitely have to try it.
You are a blessing Jennifer!
This tea recipe looks and sounds wonderful!
Love your blog! I see you live in Nashville. My son lives there, too.

Me, too, Jen~ I love the name as much as I love the tea. 🙂
Yes, Kristi~ It's the instant tea like "Lipton" in the glass jar or can. Hope this helps. 🙂
Instant tea? Is that like the Lipton "kool-aid" type tea with the sugar already in it? This sounds so good and I want to try it. I want to be sure I pick the right thing. Blessings to you today.
Oh….I just want to soak up the name. House of Grace – how I want my home to be like that. 🙂
Oh…that looks so refreshing and tasty!

I make someting similar, but yours sounds so much easier! This is a great idea for a baby shower we are giving next month! Thanks!
I think I may need to try this one. And I'll check out your Lemonade Almond Tea.
BTW, there's a new site called (in)courage that made its debut today. I wrote a little something about it (Monday) with a link to it. You may need a little (in)couraging from time to time.
Love you,
Debbie
