A little something sweet to enjoy with your coffee ~
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
Isaiah 43:2 (ESV)
This past weekend, our part of the state of MS experienced such a continuous downpour that many in our community are waking up to day three of flooded homes and businesses.
Floods happen in life, both literally and figuratively… And though they can often be predicted, we can never quite be prepared for the havoc they are capable of inflicting. That’s why this Isaiah verse is such a treasure. It doesn’t say, “IF” you pass through these difficulties – It says, “WHEN…”!
If you are in the midst of a flood today, whether literally under H2O or figuratively overwhelmed {or both!}, may the Lord encourage you through His Word and remind you that He is WITH YOU every step of the way.
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
Our God is an Ever Present Promise Keeper! He won’t let us drown! Praise His Holy Name ~

PS: We are humbly grateful to report that my family’s home didn’t flood. Our street, yard, and carport did, but the water didn’t get in our house. We moved our cars to higher ground and were careful with our water, took showers at friend’s homes, and didn’t wash clothes for a few days so we wouldn’t over tax our sewage lines.
This is Abigail and James walking in our carport to get to the part of the street (before it was flooded and closed) where we parked our cars, so she could go to work.
This is a still shot from a video of a truck driving down our street. Look at how deep the water is!
If you would pray for our community we sure would appreciate it! I’m praying for you! Happy Sunday ~
