Have you seen this? It circulated through e-mail back in the pre-blogging days and I shared it back in 2009… but when I saw it in my files the other day, it blessed me afresh.
I’ve been studying a lot about “suffering” lately and about how we are not only to expect it, but that it is the very way the Lord equips us as platforms for His glory while we live as His lights in this dark world.
I was encouraged as I processed this post, and I just know it will encourage some of you, too. 🙂 . {Remember: God NEVER wastes anything He allows to touch our lives.}
We complain about the cross we bear
but don’t realize it is preparing us for the
dip in the road
that God can see
and we cannot.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
May the Lord encourage you today in whatever you are facing. His Word assures us that whether we can see it or not: God is Good. God’s Ways are Right. And God is Working. One day, we will see His glory and our good come from every heavy load we are called to bear in this life. And one day, we will be thankful for every one of them. Really. Somehow.
Because that’s how the wonderful God we love and live for redeems every sorrow.
