Hi friends…. You know how today is “recipe day” around the blogosphere… but right now, I’m just plain recipe-d out. I’ve got nothing! So instead, I’m passing on a little blogging encouragement/wisdom/challenge to you dear readers of Smelling Coffee. (And btw, thanks so much for being a part of this blog! You are such a blessing to me!)
Because we all know many incredible blogs out there, and none of us have the time to soak in all that is shared in the blogosphere, here are three great posts and/or blogs that I know will be a blessing to you.
1. If you are new to blogging, or like me and still have much to learn, Rhoda (Southern Hospitality) wrote a fabulous post called 10 Tips for New Bloggers. I learned about Windows Live Writer from her post, tried it, and had tons of questions that she took the time to answer for me. I told her that once I started using Windows Live Writer, I would dedicate my first official post to her – so, Rhoda… this one’s for you! 😉
I always wondered how some people in Blogger could use different fonts on their blogs – and now I know…it’s because of Windows Live Writer. (I promise not to go crazy with the font thing, but I’m still learning!) Pictures load in so much easier, too, and spell check runs as I type (sometimes I forget to spell check my posts – and spelling is NOT one of my strong suits!) Once you get your blog set up through Live Writer, and once you know what you want to say, blogging is breezy!
2. Heidi, from Moms Ministry & More, is doing something very special on her blog. Starting today, she is hosting a give-away & ministry opportunity called “Candle in the Corner”. Heidi is a missionary, and she is featuring some give-aways from fellow missionaries around the world. To enter for these beautiful gifts, hop over to this post. I know you’ll be blessed!
3. A new blog popped up several months ago that’s all about preparing our hearts and homes for Christmas. It’s called A Baby Changes Everything. Do you realize that Christmas is only 50-something days away? Check out this blog and be encouraged to get into the spirit of Christmas!
There you have it – no recipe, but hopefully something useful. Have a great day with the Lord today, my friends. Love to you all… Jennifer

Thanks for the link to Rhoda. I learned a lot and have now officially turned off word verification. I have been trying to figure out Live Writer too, so maybe her info will help me.
