We must trust Him and continue to pray for our lawmakers. And, we must continue to use our voices and our votes to stand up for what we believe in!!!
“And we know
that God causes
everything
to work together
for the good of those who love God
and are called
according to his purpose for them.”
Romans 8:28 (NLT)
I always need a reminder to pray for our leaders. Especially right now when I must fight ugly feelings toward them. God will never let us down!
This was a great reminder, Jennifer…it was the same verse that my husband said to me, right after we watched the House vote on Sunday night. We must continue to pray and fight for what we believe in! I have to remember that I have a voice at the polls come November. 🙂
Thanks…that was a helpful reminder to me today!
I am having a "Blue Monday" giveaway~stop by to see~
Thanks…Have a terrific week!

Amen and amen. I believe God wants to purify His people and is applying pressure to His church. May what is happening around us cause us to fulfill our purpose of evangelizing the lost and living the difference of Christ to the everyday people in our lives. May we take back the responsibility as our own, not the lawmakers. And may we believe in His power and pleasure behind us with all our hearts!
Jennifer… if you only knew how much this post and also your FB post encouraged me today. Not only with what is going on in our country, but also my morning. Thank you!!!
As I watched the news this morning my heart sank. Decisions made that are this partisan cannot be representative of all people. I am thankful that ultimately the justice we long for, that rights every wrong, is our Lord! Yes friend Romans 8:28 speaks so much of His truth!
Oh I so needed that reminder today – I have been more discouraged than usual with the news. God is indeed faithful. Thanks – have a great day, Jennifer.
Thanks for the reminder. It's so easy to allow circumstances to control our outlook, but we have to reminder ourselves that God is in charge. He loves us and has plans for us far greater than what we could even imagaine!
I love Romans 8:28, it was the focus of my Sunday post. This is one of those times when it's difficult to remember to let Him do his work. I'm praying.
Blessings,
Carol
I am taking your Bible verse over to live on my sidebar for awhile..it makes me feel better just reading it..:)
G'morning, Jen…yes, you are right..we do have to continue praying for our country. The health care bill passing makes me very sad because I know this is only the first of many bills that might plunge our country into more and more debt and uneasiness. I am staying on my knees a lot..as is most of the people I know. I've never seen such conflict as we are seeing now……worries me….
