Happy April Fool’s Day! I’m celebrating something today, and it’s no joke! Want to join me?
Today, Wednesday April 1st, is the 9th anniversary of the day the Lord miraculously healed me! Click here if you want to read the story, or if you’re waiting on God for your own miracle. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t gratefully think about how different our lives are because He healed me.
But I must say – even before the Lord healed me (and this would be true if the Lord had chosen never to heal me) He still preformed a miracle on my behalf. The miracle was that we were “living”! That we were “doing the thing!” And that we had joy in the Lord and gratefulness for the lives He was living through us. As sick as I was, we were still happy in the Lord, and would have told you that “life” was good.
Whether or not we get the miracle we pray for, the true miracle is always that – because God is good – He shows Himself and His strength in the midst of our weakness and our need. It’s that we can do as Psalm 5:3 says, “I lay down and slept. I awakened again, for the Lord sustains me.” PTL!
So, today, on April Fool’s Day, this “April Fool” is celebrating two incredible things: 9 years of wellness, and a lifetime of God’s goodness to all of His children – through every stage of life.
Have you seen the goodness of the Lord lately in your life? Be an “April Fool” and let’s celebrate Him today! 🙂

Rejoicing and thanking God with you! I had a similar experience 6 years ago when I came down with Mono. I was working for a ministry that allowed me to go to Australia for 2 weeks to the Hillsong Conference. During a worship night, the Lord spoke to the pastor about healing and that there was someone in the audience with mono who needed healing. It was me! I had the same burning sensation–starting at the bottoms of my feet, going to the top of my head and then the feeling was gone. And so was the Mono!!! Praise the Lord!

Hi Jennifer –
Thank you for your testimony today. I have just begun to follow your blog so I acquainted myself with the story of your healing. What an awesome God we serve! It truly touched my heart. I was healed on 01/16/88 – I was convicted that I have not written down the testimony to His touch for our Lord to get glory. Thank you for the nudge. And what a smile to my face that you are a leaping cow! God does give us chuckles, doesn’t he? Praise Him for the work in your life and all the lives you touch!
