Need a way to keep up with your favorite blogs?

There are some days that I just don’t have the time or luxury to sit down at my computer and read blogs.  It’s one of my favorite things to do, and when I miss a few days, I’m constantly wondering what’s going on out there.  But these days, many blogs are offering their posts sent through e-mail.  I love that.  Now, I hardly miss a thing. {The only down side is that you still must go to the post to leave a comment.  Maybe one of these days, something will be invented that will allow e-mail replies to go straight to the comment sections of blogs.  Until then… I’ll mark the ones I want to go back and comment on, and enjoy reading the rest as I would a newspaper.}

If you’d like to have Smelling Coffee posts sent to your e-mail address, I’d love for you to do that.  Just enter your e-mail address in the box to the left.  A message will pop up and if you’ll just follow the directions, you’ll soon be receiving new posts delivered straight to you.  I give you my word – I promise NOT to ever use your e-mail addresses for any reason!  You will not get spam from me nor from Feedburner.  Don’t forget to check your e-mail and click the verification link.

If you are a blogger and don’t have this feature on your blog yet, [and some of my favorite friends don’t 🙁 ] please consider adding it.  This is a wonderful post telling you why.  This post tells you how. Believe me – if I can do it – you can do it!  I promise! 

Edited to add: I just went into the “design” part of Blogger, and clicked on “Add a Gadget” – and guess what was there?  An already prepared gadget for Blogger that lets you add an e-mail subscription box to your blog!  Boy!  Wish I had known about this earlier.  Blogger friends~ please try this! 🙂

Anytime you are reading blogs, look for a box to either the left or right, probably near the top, and see if they offer e-mail subscriptions.  It’s different than “Subscribe to this post”.  Look specifically for a space where you can enter your e-mail address.   Then, read away… right from your e-mail inbox.
