O My Strength,
I say “responsibility” because over and over in scripture, we’re commanded to praise God – whether or not we “like” our particular set of circumstances. Praising Him for Who He is reminds us of several things:
1. He is God – and we are not. (Isaiah 45:22 “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”)
2. God’s timing and His ways are so much better than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”)
3. God knows what He is doing, and we can trust Him.
(Jeremiah 29:11 “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you,
plans to give you the future you hope for.” The Message)
If you’re watching for God to work in a Mighty way in your life right now, will you declare with me…
I will watch and give heed to You
and sing praises;
for God is my Defense
(my Protector and High Tower).
Psalm 59:9 (Amp)

Good morning! A sweet verse today to go with my cup of coffee. I am definitely smelling coffee as my hubby just brought it to me while I’m still lounging in my bed! It’s snowing today and I’m not very excited about it at the moment. Perhaps after I hop out of bed and go to the gym to do an intensive workout, it’ll be better! Thanks so much for sharing your verse this morning. My verse is going to be “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always!” Psalm 105:4
