“The Lord is in the midst of thee. — Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. — Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you. — The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. — Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart.”
Zephaniah 3:15 — Isaiah 41:10 — Isaiah 35:3-4 — Zephaniah 3:17– Psalm 27:14
(Usually I don’t add commentary to the Sunday Scripture posts – I like for them to stand alone, but I wanted to tell you about these verses. These scriptures are from the Dec. 12 compilation in the book Daily Light on the Daily Path. This is a book of scripture verses grouped together by subject. It was originally compiled by Samuel Bagster and family in the late 1800s. I have an old version printed by the Billy Graham Association – back when the book cost $1.50. It has been reprinted and recompiled often. My book is in the King James Version, so I quoted the verses exactly as they were from the book I have. Although I rarely use it any longer, I do love the way these verses sound in the KJV. They seem to roll off the tongue like beautiful poetry.
…Anyway… If anyone is looking for a wonderful addition to your personal walk with the Lord, I would highly recommend this book. It’s now printed in many versions, and can be found here, or anywhere you buy Christian books. This book has been a part of my Quiet Time with the Lord for many years – and God uses it every day to bless and challenge my life.)
Have a blessed Sunday, my friends!
And one more thing: Today is my wonderful husband’s birthday! I just wanted to publicly say how much I love him, and how grateful I am for the Godly husband, friend, partner, leader, and father that he is. James, I’m so proud of you, and so grateful to be your wife. Happy Birthday, honey! I love you!!!
