Peanut Butter Balls:
This is something I’ve been dying to try. I was hoping to make these and personally tell you how wonderful and easy they are – but alas… I’ve run out of time. So, I’m just passing the recipe on to you. Maybe one of you will try them before I’ll get to, and you can let us all know the deliciousness rating.

Picture:
This is one of my new favorite things. It’s a coffee cup from Starbucks. The cup is designed so that it can be written on with a special pen, then baked in the oven, and the message stays. But I decided I’d rather use the black background as a chalkboard, and write different messages on it for special occasions.
This past weekend, it looked like the picture above. A few days before that, my daughter put an “I love you Mommy” message on it for me. When our children went back to school after Spring break, I put a message on it for them, and they could read it as I used the cup at breakfast. The only drawback to this chalkboard mug is that the chalk easily rubs off, so the best place to write on it (at least for the way I hold a coffee cup) is just to the right of the handle. It’s a fun way to enjoy coffee these days.
Progress:
As part of my “be healthier” plan for this year, I’ve been doing the “Couch to 5 K” walking/running plan. I’ve been doing this with the Lord, and am thrilled to report that I can now remain standing upright when I finish my walk/run. That has not always been the case. 😉 I’ve poured more sweat in the last few weeks than I have in YEARS – but I’m feeling stronger and I’m actually enjoying the exercise. During the walk portion- I read. During the run times- I practice my scripture memory verses. I’m not ready to run a 5 K yet, but I’m a lot closer to that goal than I was a month earlier! PTL!
The other two things I’ve added to life (via Made to Crave) is drinking 16 oz of water before my morning coffee, and trying to eat 25 grams of fiber each day. The fiber has been a little hard for me –I don’t enjoy a lot of the fiber-rich foods. But I found this delicious cereal that has 9 grams of fiber per 3/4 cup bowl. 9 grams! That cereal in 1 cup of soy milk (1 gram) plus a cup of coffee (2 grams of fiber) – and there’s 12 grams by 8am. Score! The cereal is Kellogs’ Fiber Plus – Cinnamon Oat Crunch. They have other flavors, but this is the only one I’ve tried.
Plans and Prayers please!
I’m leaving Thursday to make my way to Gatlinburg, TN to speak at Tulip Grove Baptist Church’s women’s retreat. I’m so excited. It is a 3 day retreat and I’ll be traveling with two dear friends from Nashville. We are anticipating God doing a wonderful work through His Word, and would appreciate any prayers you’d care to spend on us all – the ladies at the retreat, and our families back home.
One more “P” – a Perfect scripture to Pray for your loved ones~
Psalm 119:66 “Teach me good judgment, wise and right discernment, and knowledge, for I have believed (trusted, relied on, and clung to) Your commandments.”
Isn’t that a perfect verse? It’s what I want for me, my husband, my children, their future spouses, and their children, and on and on… one Walker generation after another until Jesus returns! A men?
I so very much aPPreciate you! 🙂 Thanks for being a Part of this blog. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends. I’ll be Praying for you. Please be Praying for me and the ladies at the retreat. Thanks ever so much~
With love,
Jennifer
A word of encouragement on your walking/running that I remind myself of sometimes: "No matter how slow you go, you're still lapping the people who are sitting on the couch!" ( :
I hope you have a wonderful time in Gatlinburg (one of my favorite places)!
