…And I PROMISE, this isn’t all I’ll talk about in the future. I promise. I’m just in the middle of a concentrated weekend of writing, and I’m at the point where I’d L.O.V.E. your input.
I wrote four chapters last night – two sitting down, then my back started bothering me, so I balanced my computer on a cutting board across our kitchen stove (perfect height for me – plus a great overhead light), and wrote two more standing up. I don’t know how many more I have to go, because God is literally unfolding this book a page and an idea at a time. It is really fun and exciting to see something that’s been burning in my heart and mind for years being birthed into reality.
If you’d like to be a part of this book, I’d love your input on a few questions. If I use what you shared, I’ll reference you by *first name and blog address (if you have one). The cool thing about an e-book is that it will contain a live link to every site referenced. You can reply by commenting on the blog, leaving it on this FB post, writing it on the FB wall of “Keeping Christ AS Christmas”, or as a reply to this e-mailed post. *If you usually sign a blog comment with your blog name like I do (as SmellingCoffee), please include your real first name in parenthesis. 😉
One more thing: Please be aware that by sharing your information with me, you are agreeing for it to be published in this or other future writings.
Now that the business is out of the way, here’s what I can’t wait to hear from you: (You don’t have to answer all of the questions – just the ones that resonate with you.)
1. What is the most special part of Christmas to you? (Please be honest! Please don’t give the Sunday school answer of Jeeee-suuus just because you think that’s what I’m looking for. I’m really not. I really want to know your favorite thing about the holiday.)
2. What is your least favorite part of Christmas? (Again – please be honest! We won’t judge. I promise!)
3. How do you try to keep the focus of Christmas on Jesus?
4. Do you have any special family traditions that you hope will continue for generations to come? If so, what are they and how did you come upon them?
5. What is one thing you wish you could change about the Christmas season?
6. In a dream world, what would your Christmas season be like?
7. What is something you’d like to see covered in a book called “Keeping Christ AS Christmas”?
Thank you so much, my friends. I’ll appreciate any prayers and information you’d care to send my way this weekend and into Monday.
With much love~
Jennifer
