Hi everyone!!! Boy, have I missed you! I’ve been praying for you and am looking forward to the day when I can jump back into this blogging community with both feet. In fact, I’m about to burst at the seams with the long list of ideas for future blog posts. Apparently I don’t do “silence” very well. 🙂
The other day at Community Bible Study, Amy had the cutest snack treat for her core group – and I had to take a phone-picture of it and share her idea with you. (She’s been on a fantistic trip to Chicago, and couldn’t write about it herself.) ((I’m missing her Frappuccino Fun posts!))
Here’s what she had…. VALENTINE MIX!
Remember her Fall Mix? It’s much like that – except she used pink toned M&Ms and Candy Corns. Great idea, Amy!

That’s it! Mix and enjoy. 🙂 Pint or half pint jars of this mix tied with a pink or red ribbon would make a perfect teacher gift or friend gift. Like all of Amy’s ideas, the possibilities are unlimited.
And… while we’re talking about pint or half pint jars filled with Valentine goodies, here’s a recipe for a delicious hot tea that I make and give on Valentines Day, Christmas, or any other occasion lending itself to a cute jar of hot tea.
Friendship Tea
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups Tang
½ cup instant tea
1 ¼ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cloves
½ cup lemonade mix
½ (or more) cups red hots
1 ½ cups white sugar
3 oz. apricot jello
Mix and store in airtight container. To make tea: Use three spoon fulls in a cup of hot water.
If I could, I’d give each of you a jar of Friendship Tea! You’ve been such sweet friends to me – and I’m so thankful for the friendship we share through blogging. May our Lord bless you and keep you, dear friends… and make His beautiful face to shine upon you and through you this week.
One more thing: I just LOVE The Message’s paraphrase of Jeremiah 29:11-14 and thought you might, too.
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—
plans to take care of you,
not abandon you,
plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me,
when you come and pray to me,
I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you’ll find me.
Yes, when you get serious about finding me
and want it more than anything else,
I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed…”
Love to you all… Jennifer

Yummy yum, yum, yum to both of those recipes. I have to make myself up some of that. Maybe for Bible study!

Does that scripture speaks volumes or what…way too good to keep to one’s self…thank YOU for sharing it.
I sent it on to a precious friend that needed those words desperately this afternoon. May be a great word to place in my heart from the Message; I have it NIV, but yee haw…what a WORD!
Lovingly,
Yolanda

It’s good to hear your (blogging) voice again! I already know the snack mix is good, and I may have to try the tea.
I love the scripture too. I picked a scripture to pray for each of my nieces and nephew when they were born, and Jeremiah 29:13 is Abbie’s — that she would seek God with all of her heart.
