Hey all you Smelling Coffee fans! I know that you would expect to hear awesome words of wisdom or some heartwarming stories from Jennifer here on her blog, or you might even think you’d find some Frappuccino Fun with Amy. However, I am a friendly hacker who has commandeered Smelling Coffee for the next few minutes. I just couldn’t pass up the chance to show you what kind of wild woman that Jennifer is, and I knew that she might not show you herself. Don’t worry, Jennifer, I promise to swallow your password when I’m finished!
Jennifer, Amy, and I and our families were all on vacation this past week at a beautiful lake home in South Carolina. I’m not really a coffee drinker, but I started to think how I would describe Jennifer’s little time away in coffee terms. As far as the setting goes, I would describe it as a smooth, peaceful “first cup of coffee in the morning” kind of place. As you can see, it is definitely the kind of place that makes it very easy to spend some awesome time with the Lord.
Then I got to thinking about the transformation I saw right before my very eyes in Jennifer. She started out as this sweet “iced mocha” kind of girl…
She was being quite sweet and domesticated, cooking sausage while her hubby was whipping up a mega batch of Belgian waffles for all of us. And, then before I knew what had happened, Jennifer hooked up with Amy, and became this over-the-top frothy “cappuccino with a double shot of espresso” mixed in…
All you of you faithful Smelling Coffee readers are shocked, aren’t you? Well, maybe not. Anyone who would dress up like Sarah Palin, spray paint every accessory in her home, and confess to being a Shred dropout might have at least a hint of frivolity in her. Let’s just say that it was a Depends kind of moment for all of us.
Anyway, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show you what a Smelling Coffee Vacation looks like. When Jennifer is finished resting up during her fall break, I know you’ll enjoy having her back. But for now, this is Ms. Jernigan signing off and swallowing up that password.
