Last week a friend closed her e-mail to me with this quote, and I thought it was great! May we all live to be THIS kind of woman! 🙂
that when your feet hit the floor
each morning,
the devil says,
“Oh NO! She’s up!”
Have a great weekend, everyone!
... the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Christ in every place...
Happy April Fool’s Day! I’m celebrating something today, and it’s no joke! Want to join me?
Today, Wednesday April 1st, is the 9th anniversary of the day the Lord miraculously healed me! Click here if you want to read the story, or if you’re waiting on God for your own miracle. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t gratefully think about how different our lives are because He healed me.
But I must say – even before the Lord healed me (and this would be true if the Lord had chosen never to heal me) He still preformed a miracle on my behalf. The miracle was that we were “living”! That we were “doing the thing!” And that we had joy in the Lord and gratefulness for the lives He was living through us. As sick as I was, we were still happy in the Lord, and would have told you that “life” was good.
Whether or not we get the miracle we pray for, the true miracle is always that – because God is good – He shows Himself and His strength in the midst of our weakness and our need. It’s that we can do as Psalm 5:3 says, “I lay down and slept. I awakened again, for the Lord sustains me.” PTL!
So, today, on April Fool’s Day, this “April Fool” is celebrating two incredible things: 9 years of wellness, and a lifetime of God’s goodness to all of His children – through every stage of life.
Have you seen the goodness of the Lord lately in your life? Be an “April Fool” and let’s celebrate Him today! 🙂

Hi friends~ I’m preparing to teach from Genesis 39-42 on Wednesday and was thinking of you – wondering if you would help me with some research.
Do any of you have a story like Joseph’s – where you (or your loved one) was undeservedly removed from a place you thought was “good”, to be debased and “forgotten” for a while, only to be later lifted back up (via the debasement) to an even “better” set of circumstances?
If so, and if you don’t mind being an example to us all, would you please briefly share your story?
Over and over, the Lord is teaching me that HIS TIMING IS PERFECT, & HIS PLANS CANNOT BE CHANGED BY MAN! What He desires will stand. He will jog a memory, turn a king’s heart, or accomplish His plans in a higher way than we can imagine.
I’m praising the Lord for this truth, and am looking forward to your God-stories of how He has brought you through adversity – and done an even better/greater work within your life and heart!
Thanks in advance for sharing! I’m praising the Lord with you for all He has done…

I say “responsibility” because over and over in scripture, we’re commanded to praise God – whether or not we “like” our particular set of circumstances. Praising Him for Who He is reminds us of several things:
1. He is God – and we are not. (Isaiah 45:22 “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”)
2. God’s timing and His ways are so much better than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”)
3. God knows what He is doing, and we can trust Him.
(Jeremiah 29:11 “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you,
plans to give you the future you hope for.” The Message)
If you’re watching for God to work in a Mighty way in your life right now, will you declare with me…
Have you ever noticed that almost all of the recipes I post on this blog begin with the word “easy”? That’s because “easy” is the only way I cook. (Or, as the kids would say: “It’s how I roll”.) If it’s not quick and easy, chances are, I probably won’t be making it any time soon.
So, in light of quick and easy, I found this delicious dip several months ago on the back of a Velveta Cheese box, and the family loves it. I’m making some for a cookout tonight, and thought I would share the recipe. Hope you enjoy it too. 🙂
Easy Spinach Rotel Dip
Combine in microwave bowl and heat for 5 minutes, stirring after each minute. Transfer to a small slow cooker (like the Crock Pot “Little Dipper”) to keep warm. Serve with tortilla chips or crustini.
Enjoy~ and have a great weekend.
